For many years I thought investing was something other people did.
People with more money. More knowledge. More confidence.
Like many Australians, I simply worked, raised a family, paid the bills and hoped there would be enough for retirement one day.
Then one conversation changed the way I thought about money forever.
I realised that hoping wasn't a financial plan.
That realisation began a journey that completely changed how I approached stewardship, investing and financial resilience.
I didn't have a background in finance. I wasn't an economist. I didn't have professional investment qualifications.
What I did have was a willingness to learn.
Over the years I read books, attended workshops, asked countless questions and gradually developed the framework I now call Creating Overflow™.
It wasn't built overnight. It grew one lesson at a time, through successes, mistakes and a determination to keep learning.
One of the experiences that shaped my perspective most was raising eleven children on one income.
That season of life taught me to value careful budgeting, thoughtful planning and making every dollar work as hard as possible. Those lessons became the foundation for everything that followed.
Today my passion is helping ordinary people discover that investing doesn't have to be intimidating.
I believe financial confidence isn't reserved for experts. It can be built by ordinary people who are willing to learn, ask good questions and make thoughtful decisions.
My Christian faith has also shaped my thinking. The principles of stewardship, integrity and personal responsibility run through everything I teach.
Creating Overflow™ isn't about chasing quick wealth. It's about gradually creating increasing freedom, one wise decision at a time.
Whether through my books, workshops or other resources, my hope is to encourage people to build financial resilience with confidence, wisdom and patience.
Welcome. I'm glad you're here.
